About Jenny Friend Olive (オリーブ)
Jenny Friend Olive (オリーブ) was first released in July 1988.
Several sets featuring "Pretty Curl" Olive were released throughout 1988 and all sets featured various accessories for hair play and a curling iron. Later, in 1992 and 1993 Olive appeared once again as a doll for playing with hair, this time with extra-long blond hair, tight down to her feet.
Olive name came from popular girl's magazine at the time and is meant to evoke a symbol of peace (the olive branch).
Olive backstory states that she is a consultant at a "Pretty Room" beauty salon and as such helps Jenny and other Jenny Friends with beauty tips, makeup and procedures, gives fashion advice. She is a keen gardener, loves vegetables and, of course, grows some olives.
